ELIZABETH “BETTY” ANN MOOI

She was born June 22, 1925, in Detroit, to parents William and Mae (Elzerman) Miller. Betty married Leonard Mooi on March 22, 1946 in Detroit and they had three children, Linda (Rev. Jim) Lester, Dr. Len (Karen) Mooi and Rick (Sue) Mooi.Betty was a potter and a gardener. For many years, she was involved with the Volunteer Tutors Association (now the Family Literacy Center), conducting tutor training workshops throughout the state. She was a member of the Imlay City Christian Reformed Church for over 60 years.Betty is survived by her children; their spouses; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.Her husband of 72 years, Len, passed away on July 27, 2018; as well as being preceded in death by her parents and siblings.Memorial contributions may be made to Imlay City Christian Reformed Church, Imlay City or the Family Literacy Center, Lapeer.Betty’s funeral service was held Monday, November 20, 2018 at the Inlay City Christian Reformed Church, officiated by Rev. Alex Snider and Rev. James Lester. MARION ELIZABETH CLARK

She was born March 19, 1929, in Ferndale, to parents George and Leah (Kleckner) Foe. Marion married Jack E. Clark on May 24, 1947 in Dryden.Mrs. Clark was proud to have been a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for many years at Crittenton Hospital, Rochester. She was an avid reader and enjoyed BINGO. Sewing was a regular pastime, she also loved arts and crafts in general.She is survived by her children, Donald (Pam) Clark of Colorado, Carol (Rick Lenz) Clark of Holly; grandchildren, Malinda (Pablo) Rivera, Rebecca Colburn, Sarah (Joseph) Karlson; greatgrandchildren, Jacob, Christopher, Leneah, Aaron, Selena, Miquel, Nathaniel, Josiah; siblings, Doris Smith and Eugene Foe.Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; brothers, George and Wilbur Foe; sister, Louise Hughes; as well as her parents.Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers, to the Alzheimer’s Association.Following her own wishes, the family has entrusted Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer with cremation. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday November 27, 2018 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer, officiated by Pastor Drew Jolly. Burial of the cremated remains will take place in Mt. RONALD “RON” HENDRIX

Ronald Kyle Hendrix was born August 13, 1949, in Avon Park, FL. He is the son of the late William Kyle and the late Katharina Katrina (Lupter) Hendrix. He grew up in Redford, MI. Ron is a graduate of Lutheran High North in Detroit. He continued his education at Michigan State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Horticulture and a Bachelor of Arts in Forestry. He moved to the Imlay City area in the 1970’s and has lived here since. He married Dawn Ann Brandt on August 26, 1997 in Comins, MI.In 1979, Ron opened and operated Hendrix and Sons Greenhouse in Imlay City. He changed the name to Earthly Arts Greenhouse and Garden Center in 1991 and has owned and operated it since.Ron is survived by his wife, Dawn Brandt; one daughter, Rebekkah (Mike) Eurich of Lapeer; two sons, Nathan (Kelly) Hendrix of Oxford and Jason (Sarah) Hendrix of Lapeer; and his four grandchildren, Alaina, Alex, Marissa and Luke.He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Katharina Hendrix.Those wishing to make memorial contributions may direct them to the family.The funeral was held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Family of Christ Lutheran Church, 7191 E. Imlay City Road, Imlay City. Deacon David Hoffman, with Family of Christ Lutheran Church, officiated.
